TEHRAN President Mohammad Khatami, in a message to President of Sudan Omar al-Bashir, offered condolences to him on the passing away of the Sudanese vice president and a group of Sudanese officials. In his message, the president expressed regret over the demise of General Muhammad Zubair Salih and a number of Sudanese officials and condoled the sad occasion to the people and government of Sudan. The Sudanese general lost his life in a plane crash 800 km from south of Khartoum, the capital city of Sudan, on Thursday. Over 26 out of 57 passengers on board the plane were killed as a result of the incident.
